Feature Updates

Customer Dashboard

You can use our new customer dashboard at customers.nuon.co to create management portals for your customers.

Using the customer dashboard, your customers can install and update their installs, run actions, and more.

Orchestration Policies

We currently support in-cluster policies that allow you to define contracts between your applications at the cluster level.

In our latest changelog, we added an early version of orchestration policies which allow you to define a contract with your customer for how your application operates.

You can use these to prevent creating specific resources, ban images without different artifacts and much, much more.

App Branches

We are adding a new feature called app-branches, which allows you to connect your app to branches and automatically update installs with each change. Combined with policies, this will allow vendors to manage more installs.

Nuon In The Community

Check out our latest blog about the meet up we hosted at Uncork Capital with Himank Chaudhary, CTO & Co-Founder at Tigris Data, and Almog Gavra, Co-Founder at Responsive and contributor to SlateDB.

Tigris Data - How S3 API compatibility lets you use any cloud.

SlateDB - Object native LSM tree.

Nuon - Infra Runner Pattern.

BYOC In The Community

Continuent Founder & CEO, Eero Teerikorpi, shared that his company's future goal is to open up a BYOC offering:

β€œUnlike traditional DBaaS offerings, our current and new solutions will follow a Bring-Your-Own-Cloud (BYOC) model, where customers retain control of their infrastructure, costs, and compliance.”

Knovos’ solicitor and director, Sid Jiwnani said in the LegalTech Monitor, β€œ(BYOC) bring your own cloud is going to be a hit as users demand more control and ownership over their own data.”

He says it β€œgives a company the best of both worlds, full control over the data with full service support from the vendor.”
