Happy Holidays! ⛄️
December has been a busy month for Nuon — we went open source! Nuon is now generally available and free to sign up.
Keep reading for more product updates, and the latest from the BYOC community.
New On Nuon
We introduced awesome-byoc, a community-curated directory of products that support BYOC deployment. Want to get involved? Read the announcement and check out the details on how to get listed.
Nuon in the Community
On January 20th we’ll be co-hosting a meetup in San Francisco with Tigris and SlateDB. We’ll have talks and demos on why S3 (and the S3 API) has become the main support for modern cloud architecture.
We’d love to see you there — be sure to RSVP and subscribe to our events calendar for updates.
Fresh off the Press
Some of our highlights from the month.
We shipped a new microsite Nuon Labs to share more experimental and beta features.
Rob Bruce, one of our engineers, wrote about GORM plugins — why we love them and how we built two plugins to solve real production problems.
Finally, our VP of Revenue, Mark Milligan, explored why large enterprises are moving beyond standard SaaS or DIY self-hosting — and are actively seeking a third way to run software in their own clouds.
BYOC in the Community
Honeycomb: launched a new private cloud offering, delivering BYOC for enterprise observability without tradeoffs.
SingleStore: published a deep dive on their BYOC approach, outlining how customers can unlock greater control over their data infrastructure.
