Happy Holidays! ⛄️

December has been a busy month for Nuon — [we went open source](https://x.com/nuonjon/status/2001364667952959996?s=20)! Nuon is now [generally available and free to sign up](https://nuon.co/blog/nuon-self-service-is-generally-available/).

Keep reading for more product updates, and the latest from the BYOC community.

## New On Nuon

We introduced [awesome-byoc](https://awesomebyoc.com/), a community-curated directory of products that support BYOC deployment. Want to get involved? Read the [announcement](https://nuon.co/blog/introducing-awesome-byoc-a-community-list-of-byoc-products/) and check out the [details on how to get listed](https://github.com/nuonco/awesome-byoc/blob/main/CONTRIBUTING.md).

## Nuon in the Community

On January 20th we’ll be co-hosting a meetup in San Francisco with [Tigris](https://www.tigrisdata.com/) and [SlateDB](https://slatedb.io/). We’ll have talks and demos on why S3 (and the S3 API) has become the main support for modern cloud architecture.

We’d love to see you there — be sure to [RSVP](https://luma.com/uqzh5nkh) and subscribe to our [events calendar](https://luma.com/nuon?k=c) for updates.

## Fresh off the Press

Some of our highlights from the month.

We shipped a new microsite [Nuon Labs](https://labs.nuon.co/) to share more experimental and beta features.

Rob Bruce, one of our engineers, wrote about [GORM plugins](https://nuon.co/blog/gorm-plugins-why-we-love-them/) — why we love them and how we built two plugins to solve real production problems.

Finally, our VP of Revenue, Mark Milligan, explored [why large enterprises are moving beyond standard SaaS or DIY self-hosting](https://nuon.co/blog/the-enterprise-pull-why-the-fortune-500-is-rewriting-the-software-delivery-playbook/) — and are actively seeking a third way to run software in their own clouds.

## BYOC in the Community

Honeycomb: launched a [new private cloud offering](https://www.honeycomb.io/blog/honeycomb-launches-new-private-cloud-offering-address-security-compliance-cost-concerns), delivering BYOC for enterprise observability without tradeoffs.

SingleStore: published a [deep dive on their BYOC approach](https://www.singlestore.com/blog/singlestore-byoc-on-aws/), outlining how customers can unlock greater control over their data infrastructure.

## Happy Holidays

Happy holidays and happy shipping from the Nuon team.
